More Breweries in Charleston

The first time I visited Palmetto Brewery was during a Christmas party and I instantly fell in love with the ambience of the brewery.  It is conveniently located in downtown Charleston offering a spacious and unique events area.  Another favorite of mine is Tradesmen Brewery located on James Island which offers yoga and beer sessions weekly.  Try their famous Welder’s Wheat Ale or stop in to see what seasonal beers are on tap.  Ghost Monkey Brewery in Mt. Pleasant has a cozy tasting room and you’ll always find delicious food trucks waiting outside to satisfy your hunger.  I can’t forget to mention the Frothy Beard Brewing Company They are a small operation but that doesn’t stop them from having 15 taps going at any one time.  You’ll find them moving to a new location by 2017 and not only will they be offering more beers, but pizza too!  Low Tide Brewing is great especially if you love to mix beer with yoga.  They are located on Johns Island offering Suds and Savasana every Saturday at 11:00 a.m. You can enjoy an all-levels yoga class led by Darcy Mahan followed by a pint of your choice.

Suds and Savasana Charleston

A big shout out to Freehouse Brewery and their handmade organic ingredients.  You’ll also see Lo-Fi Brewing  in popular restaurants such as the Tattooed Moose and the bar at Husk.  Last but not least is Lagunitas Brewing Company also known as Charleston Taproom and Beery Sanctuary which just recently took over the old Southend Brewery located on East Bay Street in downtown Charleston.  Although it is a California company, they have 10 beers exclusively dedicated to pleasing the thirsty locals in Charleston.
